What you'll do:
- Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals to a consistently high standard
- Follow menus and recipes while ensuring food is prepared and presented with care
- Adapt to individual dietary requirements and ensure food is prepared safely and appropriately
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety
- Ensure the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised and ready for service
- Monitor food levels and minimise waste through effective preparation and portion control
- Work independently while also supporting the wider catering team when required
- Help create a warm, welcoming and positive mealtime experience
- Follow all Sodexo and client procedures and complete required food safety and hygiene checks
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience cooking in a professional kitchen or catering environment
- A genuine passion for preparing good-quality food
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements
- Ability to follow menus, recipes and established procedures
- Good organisation and time management skills
- A reliable, responsible and flexible approach to your work
- Ability to work independently and take pride in maintaining high standards
- A friendly and respectful approach, with a focus on providing a positive experience for those you are cooking for
