Industrial Cleaner

Maintain high standards in a professional industrial environment

Sodexo is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Industrial Cleaner to join our team at St James's Gate.

You'll play an important role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation across the site. Working as part of the Facilities Management team, you'll be responsible for completing scheduled cleaning activities, specialist cleaning tasks and reactive requirements to the standards expected by both Sodexo and our client.

What you'll do:
  • Carry out cleaning across production areas, offices, kitchens, toilets, changing facilities and other designated areas
  • Undertake deep cleaning of production areas and high-risk zones in line with required hygiene standards
  • Clean production plant and equipment as required and within the relevant hygiene procedures
  • Carry out floor scrubbing using industrial cleaning equipment following appropriate training
  • Complete drainage cleaning and maintenance duties as required
  • Clean and sanitise designated sample valves and pipework where permitted
  • Empty bins, manage waste and carry out litter picking across the site
  • Replenish consumables across toilet and kitchen areas
  • Complete periodic, scheduled and reactive cleaning tasks to the required standard
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, in accordance with COSHH and site procedures
  • Maintain cleaning stores, equipment and materials in a clean, safe and organised condition
  • Monitor cleaning stock levels and report requirements to the Cleaning Supervisor or Manager
  • Complete relevant cleaning documentation and paperwork to support compliance
  • Report equipment faults, hazards, incidents or Health & Safety concerns promptly
  • Provide cover across other areas of the site during periods of absence when required

What you'll bring:
  • Previous experience working within a cleaning team is essential
  • Experience working in a standards or compliance-focused environment is desirable
  • Strong understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and safe working practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Willingness to complete relevant training, including COSHH and Manual Handling
  • Reliable, flexible and able to respond to changing operational requirements
  • A professional approach to personal hygiene, presentation and workplace safety

You'll be joining a professional Facilities Management team where your work directly contributes to maintaining a safe, hygienic and well-managed environment across the site.
