What you will enjoy doing
- The Freight Manager is responsible for overseeing global freight operations for inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics, ensuring the safe, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customer facilities
- In this position you will manage a team of supply chain planners to ensure continuity of supply of product to meet the stocking expectations locally in order to deliver a best in class solution to the customer
- You will be responsible for establishing reliable and efficient supply routes for opportunities in new territories
- Managing weekly and monthly meetings with the customer
- Furthermore you will be responsible for the forecasting process & highlighting medium / high level concerns daily and escalating poor supplier performance
- Obtaining cost efficiencies through innovative approaches to logistics such as Consolidated shipping vs Direct Shipping
- You will be a cross functional trainer; providing training and knowledge sharing with other departments and TMM Supply Chain members
- In addition you will own, drive and develop Planning and Freight Software to ensure that it meets the business needs and any upgrades are planned and managed accordingly
What makes you great
- You have a 3rd level qualification in supply chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- Moreover, you have 5+ years experience in supply planning, global logistics, or international supply operations
- You display a strong understanding of global freight compliance, customs regulations, and international trade documentation
- You have experience managing or influencing significant freight budgets
- In addition, you possess advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel/Sheets and ERP/planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, etc.)
- You have strong communication skills in English with the ability to present insights and recommendations to management
- You can demonstrate a high level of personal integrity
