Mergon International currently have opportunities forProduction Operatorsto join our team at the Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath. This is a temporary full-time role operating on a4-cycle shift pattern, with the requirement to work bothday and night shifts, as well as every second weekend.
As aProduction Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for a range of activities, including packing, labelling, equipment monitoring, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Pack and label materials/products accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and report potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Participate in training and development initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Requirements:
Candidates must have previous manufacturing experience. Previous injection moulding /blow moulding experience would be an advantage.
A good level of English communication and understanding is important.
Individuals must be able to work on their own as initiative as well as part of a team.
Exposure to continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma training while not essential is an advantage.
Full training will be provided.
