Examinations Executive
The Examination Department, within Education Training (ETD), is responsible for the delivery of all formal examinations across the three academic stages of the Chartered Accountancy programme: CA Proficiency 1 (CAP1), CA Proficiency 2 (CAP2), and the Final Admitting Examination (FAE).
The Examination Executive oversees the end-to-end administration and delivery of examinations, including online exam management, student communications, examination processing.
The role forms part of the Student Operations team, which is responsible for the delivery of key student services, including programme delivery, and related operational functions.
Summary of Role
The Examination Executives within the Student Operations team are responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Chartered Accountants Ireland student examinations. With all examinations now delivered online, the role involves coordinating key examination processes, supporting stakeholders including students, training firms and exam teams, and ensuring the effective administration of examination activities.
Responsibilities include managing examination communications and notifications, responding to student queries, maintaining examination records, and carrying out essential back-office operations to ensure a high-quality and seamless examination experience.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Programme Manager, Student Operations, your overall responsibilities may vary from time to time, but the main areas of responsibility are as follows:
Coordinate exam communications, including issuing provisional, timeslots and final notifications to students for online examinations.
Post exam work includes processing of absentee documentation following GDPR policies and processes.
Act as the first point of contact for examination students, resolving queries including the publication of examination results.
Regular updating of the examinations section of the website with standard information updates and a pro-active approach to improving the exam webpages as a source of relevant exam information.
Manage the publication and maintenance of examination resources on the Institute website, ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
Whilst having responsibility for a specific examination level, the post holder will also support and assist other Examination Executives during busy periods.
Beyond exams, this role will also involve work across the wider Student Operations functions eg. assisting in answering general student queries, curation of education learning content on our learning platform.

Skills and Experience
Experience in a customer service role is essential, previous education/examination experience highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail in the context of examinations coordination. The successful candidate should be able to provide examples of same.
Exceptional communication skills (oral written).
Good working knowledge of Office 365 applications, familiarity with spreadsheets/databases and large amounts of data.
Strong team player.
Proven ability to work under own initiative, when under occasional pressure and to provide guidance and direction to others.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
