Sous Chef
ISS Recruitment HR Services is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and busy hospitality business based in Naas, Co. Kildare, for an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.
This is a full-time opportunity for a chef who is confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and has strong pizza-making experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, helping to maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and service.
Hours: 45 hours per week
Position: Full-time
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare
Overtime: No overtime
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen
Prepare and cook high-quality food to a consistent standard
Prepare and cook pizzas to a high standard
Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation
Supervise and support junior kitchen staff
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and HACCP
Monitor stock and minimise food waste
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
Work effectively during busy service periods
Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef
Strong pizza-making skills are essential
Previous experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Reliable, organised and professional approach
Excellent communication skills
