Buyer / Planner

Description

Reporting to the Site lead, the Buyer/Planner position in U.P.PRO SCM Ireland Ltd

Inventory Management:

• Agree with the customer of the inventory levels which will be required
• Update catalog with the inventory levels
• Review the daily status of inventory at high risk for shortage and provide recovery plans
• Achieve inventory levels optimization by utilizing the internal network of buyers and planners to reduce excess inventory per need
• Resolution of any issue with stocked (warehoused) material
• Disposition and removal of inventory with low consumption, as required by the customer

Purchasing:

• Perform to KPIs
• Purchasing decision making and PO placement
• Assurance of supplier acknowledgment to PO terms
• On-time delivery management
• Resolution of any issue that may occur from PO until receipt
• Reconciling accounts

Requirements

Education:

• Business degree or equivalent

Experience:

• Three years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field/position
• Background in indicator-driven work environment (KPIs)

Skills:

• An analytic approach to work and strong attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills (both written & oral)
• Data analytics skills
• Ability to partner and communicate effectively with the internal team, customers, and suppliers
• Project management
