Job Description:

The Talent Development Lead for Engineering will design and deliver a cohesive talent development strategy for technical staff - with a primary focus on early-career engineers, technicians, and other technical professionals. You will partner with Engineering leaders and HR to create onboarding, learning pathways, rotational and apprenticeship programs, competency frameworks, and manager-development initiatives that accelerate technical proficiency, internal mobility, and long-term retention in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Own the strategy and execution of early-career and technical talent programs for engineering and manufacturing technical roles (onboarding, rotational programs, internships, apprenticeships, and new-hire ramp plans).
  • Develop and maintain engineering competency models, career ladders, and progression guides aligned to job families and regulatory/quality expectations.
  • Design blended learning curricula (technical, quality/regulatory, soft skills) using instructional design best practices and manage delivery through instructor-led training, e-learning, mentoring, and on-the-job development.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to define role readiness criteria, create individualized development plans, and support manager coaching to develop direct reports.
  • Lead succession planning and internal mobility initiatives focused on high-potential technical employees.
  • Implement measurement frameworks and dashboards (time-to-proficiency, retention, program completion, manager satisfaction) and report program ROI and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure training and development activities meet regulatory and quality system requirements (e.g., training records, competency evidence) and work with Quality/Compliance to maintain audit readiness.
  • Manage vendor relationships, external training partners, and program budgets.
  • Act as a subject-matter partner for change management when new processes, tools, or operating models impact technical talent.
  • Coach and influence cross-functional stakeholders to embed a culture of continuous learning and career ownership.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€63 300,00 - €101 315,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees' and companies' performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
