As part of the Moulding Team,. responsible for identifying and implementing innovative engineering technologies, which will deliver highly efficient and cost-effective processes and equipment.
Additional responsibility is to provide polymer processing and engineering expertise for a range of projects, products and materials

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

We are searching for the best talent for a Team Lead, Injection Moulding Engineer role to be in Limerick, Ireland.
As part of the Moulding Team,. responsible for identifying and implementing innovative engineering technologies, which will deliver highly efficient and cost-effective processes and equipment.

As a Staff Projects Injection Moulding Lead, you will:
- Experience in project delivery in Medical device or Pharmaceutical sector
- Performs planning, development, facilitation of design and installation of Injection Molding equipment and processes and ensure that molding equipment meets company specifications, schedules and budgets
- Provide troubleshooting expertise to resolve Injection Molding equipment, systems and process problems using strong statistical methodology
- Provide technical leadership as well as tactical direction to the Moulding team
- Provide key inputs and leadership into transformational process developments.
- Lead or actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure New Product Introduction/Research and Development projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the team.
- Develop and maintain a Credo & Behavioral Standards based culture within the group.
- Ensure effective closure on Quality System documents (Audit Actions, NCR's, CAPA's, Maps, etc).
- Provide operational excellence and a sustainable competitive advantage across safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Ensure all process developments, NPI etc are managed in accordance with the Quality management system.
- Working within the NPI process to complete injection molding process characterization work, complete process challenge testing, complete process capability and stability runs, to qualify new product & processes to achieve annual business plan.
- Apply troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex equipment, systems and process problems using strong statistical and analytical methodologies.
- Project Management - provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
- Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members, always practicing good teamwork in support of day-to-day operating requirements.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the team.
- Work with team leaders to develop and implement strategic engineering Goals & Objectives.
- Support the implementation of all engineering and plant strategic initiatives.
- All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in the use of 'black belt' type statistical techniques (DOE, Process Capability Analysis, Hypothesis Test methods) and problem-solving methodologies would be a distinct advantage, as would familiarity with equipment validation in an FDA environment.
- Good Project Management skills, FPx or other, are required with a proven record of leading multi-functional teams effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to your peer group.
- Demonstrated experience of people leadership skills and bringing teams together
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science and or related discipline
- Proven track record in Project Management.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments or projects with sound analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible work ethic.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Problem solving skills.
- Decision Making - required to make decisions on technical issues.
- Degree of responsibility - must be capable of taking direction and taking responsibility and ownership for systems.
