Genetic Technologist

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to provide the technical and analytical support required to maintain an efficient and high quality genetic diagnostic service.

Essential Criteria:
• Degree in a science subject or equivalent
• Understanding of laboratory accreditation systems such as ISO 15189
• Knowledge of fundamental genetic principles
• Excellent written skills
• Good computer skills/IT literacy
• Personal attributes

o Meticulous attention to detail

o Conscientious, honest and respectful

o Good communication skills

o Good organisational and time management skills

o Good problem solving skills

o Adaptable and flexible

o Ability to work independently and as a wider team

o Ability to think critically and provide solutions

This update to our Onboarding process is aligned to changes in our monthly/fortnightly payroll and with the launch of our new corporate induction program.
