Role Profile
This role is part of a Research Ireland-funded Challenge-based project (NanoSA), which aims to develop a nanostructure embedded diagnostic device for rapid point of care diagnosis of pathogenic infections in aquaculture. The candidate will be supervised by Prof. Enda McGlynn and based in the School of Physics. The position is available from October 1st, 2026, until the end of February 2028.The project will involve collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team from the project lead organisation, Atlantic Technological University.

Salary Scale: IUA Research Assistant Salary Scale (point 1 to point 2) - €34,129 - €34,966
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
