Role Profile
The Founder Activation Lead will lead Catalyst's exploration, ideation and early activation work, helping students move from curiosity and initial ideas into meaningful entrepreneurial action.
The role combines independent programme delivery, early-stage founder support, community building and an active presence in the Catalyst space. Its purpose is not simply to deliver activities, but to help more students register ventures, take practical action and begin developing evidence of traction.
The Founder Activation Lead will lead Innovation Challenges and hackathons, share responsibility for initial idea coaching, coordinate selected activities and supports, and connect students with relevant opportunities across Catalyst, DCU and the wider Irish startup ecosystem.
What Success Looks Like in the Role
• More students engage with entrepreneurship and appropriately register ideas or ventures with Catalyst.
• More students and teams take and report meaningful entrepreneurial Actions.
• More ventures begin developing and reporting credible evidence of Traction.
• Innovation Challenges, hackathons and other assigned activities are delivered consistently and to a high standard.
• The Catalyst space supports an active, welcoming and engaged founder community.
• Follow-up, repeat participation and handoffs into further Catalyst support improve.
