Anaplan Developer - Manager / Associate Director
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Anaplan Developer at Manager / Associate Director level to join our Technology Consulting team. The role will include designing, developing and optimising Anaplan models to address complex business challenges and initiate transformative change across a range of organisations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in Anaplan, Financial Systems and Data Integration, along with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver transformative business solutions.

As an Anaplan Developer, you will have the chance to work alongside industry-leading clients across diverse sectors, harnessing cutting-edge tools and technologies to deliver transformative solutions, leveraging your expertise in Anaplan and Financial Systems Management. You will lead out on the end-to-end design, development and implementation of Anaplan models and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Grant Thornton to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Anaplan solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in full life cycle implementations including planning, design, & build phases. Responsible for documenting business requirements, system design and transformational goals, participating in full life cycle implementations
- Optimising existing Anaplan models for performance, usability and functionality, ensuring seamless data flow from source systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Coupa and others.
- Developing and maintaining processes for Data Integration, Transformation and Reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Providing technical leadership in redesigning business models across various areas of the Firm, to enhance efficiency and usability.
- Delivering training and documentation to ensure end-user adoption and effective use of Anaplan models.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Anaplan systems and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, providing clear timelines, deliverables and status updates to stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in Anaplan development and Financial Systems Management to drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Economics, Business Administration, Finance / Accounting or a related field.
- Certified Anaplan Level 1 & 2 Model Builder (Level 3 certification is a plus).
- SCRUM Project Management certification or equivalent.
- Other certifications related to Source Systems would be an advantage.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Anaplan Developer with a minimum of 5 years in designing, building and maintaining Anaplan models across multiple industries.
- Strong background in Financial Systems Management, Data Integration, and Performance Optimisation.
- Hands-on experience with Source Systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Coupa and other ERP or CRM platforms.
- Proficient in Project Management tools such as Jira, Miro, Asana, MS Office, ServiceNow etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a professional services or Advisory environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering solutions that enhance business processes and outcomes.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong technical proficiency in Anaplan including Model Building, Troubleshooting and Optimisation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in Finance processes, concepts and data.
- Proficiency in Data Visualisation and Reporting tools to drive insights and decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business value.
