Assistant Manager (Full-Time)

SPAR Barrack St are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our management team in Barrack St, Waterford.

Responsibilities for this role:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store.
• Assist with rostering/time management of staff.
• Collaborating with management team to maintain the highest store standards and drive sales throughout the entire store.
• Providing training, mentoring, and development opportunities for staff members.
• Managing merchandising and promotional changeovers within the store.
• Supervising order receiving and stock control processes.

Ideal Candidate:

• Enthusiastic, good work ethic and strong interest in developing a career in grocery retail.
• Fully HACCP trained.
• Min 2 years previous management experience in grocery retail with fresh food focus.
• Previous management experience in a forecourt/convenience store would be an advantage but not essential.
• Practical hands-on approach to deliver top class customer service.
• Thrive and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Committed to continually improving standards.

• Demonstrate a desire to grow and undertake additional responsibility.
