The Oak Room at Adare Manor is seeking a talented and motivated Commis Chef to join its dynamic culinary team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef to further develop their career within one of Ireland's most prestigious hospitality destinations.

Working alongside an award-winning team of chefs, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dishes and unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.

The Role

As Commis Chef, you will support the culinary team in the preparation and presentation of dishes while developing your skills in a high-performance kitchen environment. You will:

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Support your assigned section, ensuring it is organised and prepared for service.
• Work closely with Chef de Parties and Senior Chefs in the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop a broad range of culinary skills and techniques.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place in accordance with recipes and kitchen standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This is a hands-on role suited to a chef who is passionate about food, eager to learn, and committed to developing their culinary career within a high-performing team.

About You

We are looking for a Commis Chef who brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will ideally have:

• A culinary qualification or relevant kitchen experience.
• A strong passion for cooking and a desire to build a successful culinary career.
• Experience working in a high-quality hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is desirable.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A commitment to maintaining exceptional culinary and hygiene standards.
