Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Nurse within UCD School of Medicine - Systems Biology Ireland.
Applications are invited for a Research Nurse to contribute to a programme of translational immune-oncology research. The successful candidate will be affiliated with the research groups of Professor Walter Kolch and Professor Donal Brennan at Systems Biology Ireland (SBI), University College Dublin (UCD), and will contribute to multidisciplinary research projects delivered in collaboration with industry partners, including those within the Precision Oncology Ireland (POI) programme.
While academically embedded within SBI, the Research Nurse will be based at the UCD Clinical Research Centre (CRC) and will work closely with clinical teams across participating hospital sites.
The Research Nurse will support clinical research studies conducted primarily at St Vincent's University Hospital, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, and other clinical sites as required. The role will involve coordinating and delivering clinical research activities, including patient recruitment, informed consent, sample collection and processing, study documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical requirements.
The postholder will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across clinical, laboratory, and computational research environments to facilitate the collection of high-quality clinical and biological data that support research objectives. The role will also contribute to patient and public involvement (PPI) and education and public engagement (EPE) activities associated with the research projects.
Salary Range: €52,000 - €54,000 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
