ABOUT THE ROLE
Coastline Gaming is one of Ireland's leading gaming groups, operating a portfolio of retail gaming clubs across Ireland and Northern Ireland alongside our online casino, Slotbox. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference. The role carries genuine responsibility from day one, and you will see the immediate impact of your work on the development of the business.
You will be a proactive, hands-on finance professional who is keen to optimise and improve the finance function as the business scales - someone who spots opportunities to do things better and takes the initiative to make them happen.

You will be a proactive, hands-on finance professional who is keen to optimise and improve the finance function as the business scales - someone who spots opportunities to do things better and takes the initiative to make them happen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable - processing supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders and delivery dockets, obtaining approvals, preparing and executing payment runs, and reconciling supplier statements.
- Accounts Receivable - raising and issuing sales and inter-company invoices, allocating receipts, and keeping the sales ledger accurate and up to date.
- Bank & Payment Provider Reconciliations - reconciling multiple bank accounts and payment provider / gateway statements on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Data Entry on Accounts Packages - accurate and timely posting of transactions to the accounting system, maintaining a clean, audit-ready general ledger.
- Payroll Processing - preparing and processing payroll including PAYE, PRSI and USC, managing starters and leavers, and meeting all Revenue deadlines.
- Cost Analysis - reviewing costs across the business, identifying trends and savings opportunities, and supporting budgeting and forecasting.
- VAT - preparing and filing accurate VAT returns on time and keeping up to date with relevant Revenue requirements.
- Weekly & Monthly Planning & Reporting - producing weekly and monthly management reports, supporting month-end close, and providing insight that helps drive decisions.
- Office Administration - general finance and office administration to support the smooth running of the team, including filing, correspondence, and ad-hoc projects.
WHO YOU ARE
- A self-starter and a team player, equally comfortable working independently or as part of a group.
- Confident making decisions and taking ownership of your work.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects at once, working effectively with others to drive deliverables.
- Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Equipped with strong analytical and information-gathering skills.
- A clear communicator who can convey information and concepts logically, setting realistic, time-specific expectations.
- Experienced in a bookkeeping or accounts role, ideally with exposure to accounting software and payroll (a relevant qualification such as ATI / IATI, or part-qualified ACCA/ACA, is an advantage but not essential).
