Commissioning Engineer

Location: Bray, Safegard

Salary banding: 40K - 50K depending on previous experience

Are you a skilled engineer who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working across a variety of sites? We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

This is a dynamic and varied role involving travel throughout Ireland and occasionally the UK and Europe. This role is required to carry out scheduled commissioning of our Electro-Mechanical and embedded computer based control systems, therefore a technical and analytical mindset is required.

We are looking for a self-motivated and customer focused person, who will be required to work on their own initiative to solve on-site problems.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out planned commissioning visits across sites in Ireland and occasionally UK/Europe

  • Site Survey & resource forecasting of Planned Commissioning visits

  • Installation and final terminations of field devices

  • Cause & Effect Programming of PC based control systems

  • Logging and reporting of all site activities

  • Represent Safegard professionally while delivering excellent customer service

What You Bring:

  • Electrical or IT qualification (trade, diploma, or degree)

  • Experience of site work in an electrical commissioning capacity and advantage

  • General BAS/BMS/Fire Alarm knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and general PC systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

  • Analytical mindset with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Full clean driving licence
