About the role and what you'll do
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and provide technical expertise across manufacturing operations.

About the role and what you'll do
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and provide technical expertise across manufacturing operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, equipment, and production efficiency
- Support the introduction of new products, processes, and technologies into production
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving techniques
- Provide technical support for production, automation, and personalization equipment
- Lead equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance activities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and technical reports
- Support calibration and preventive maintenance programs
- Collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and global stakeholders to deliver operational improvements
- Lead and support engineering projects focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction
- Support knowledge transfer, process standardization, and best practice sharing across global sites
About you
You are a proactive and hands-on engineering professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and improving manufacturing performance. You combine strong analytical skills with a practical approach and work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.
Experience and knowledge
- Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- Experience with automation technologies, including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, or vision systems
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, processes, and production systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working with production IT systems is an advantage
- Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing, secure printing, or a regulated manufacturing environment is desirable
- Good written and spoken English
