About Us:

Embrace are recruiting an Assistant Director of Children's Services for a national role covering our children's residential services. We are seeking applications from experienced leaders who have a passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and supporting teams to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. The Role:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to provide operational leadership, quality assurance and performance oversight across designated children's residential services within Embrace.

  • You will work collaboratively with Persons in Charge, multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality and child-centred services.

  • You will provide leadership, coaching and support to service leaders while driving continuous improvement, workforce development and operational excellence across your portfolio of services.

  • You will ensure all services operate in line with HIQA requirements, Tusla standards, Children First legislation and Embrace's own model of care.

  • In your role you will oversee admissions, transitions, safeguarding, workforce planning and financial performance across your designated services.

Your Profile:

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Social Work or a related discipline

  • Management qualification or relevant postgraduate qualification

  • Minimum five years' experience in children's disability or residential services

  • Minimum three years' experience in a management or leadership role

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing HIQA inspections

  • Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex presentations

  • Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations, Children First Act 2015 and National Standards for Residential Services

  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Full clean driving licence
