We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in leading a high-performing Kitchen team, delivering outstanding food quality, developing people, and driving operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

Previous management experience in hospitality, food production, catering, or another fast-paced food-focused environment

A passion for developing people and building strong teams

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and operational standards

Excellent communication and leadership skills

A positive, hands-on leadership style

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Confidence leading busy shifts and making decisions under pressure

The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

A commitment to delivering exceptional quality and consistency

A desire to build a long-term career and develop future leaders

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the General Manager in building a strong Family Tree and succession plan for the Kitchen team

Leading, coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential

Driving Team Happiness by role modelling Pret's Values and Behaviours

Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive team culture

Leading shifts and ensuring excellent day-to-day Kitchen operations

Maintaining exceptional food quality, food safety and hygiene standards

Ensuring all products are prepared and presented according to Pret standards

Driving availability and production standards throughout the day

Managing stock, ordering processes and minimizing waste

Supporting recruitment, training, legal compliance training and graduations

Completing regular 1:1s and supporting team development plans

Working closely with Front of House teams to deliver great customer experience

Supporting productivity, labor control and shop profitability
