Subzero Engineering, a world class leader in Datacenter engineering solutions part of the $300M Senneca holdings group are looking for a dynamic Sales manager for the European region.As a Sales Manager at Subzero, you will play a critical role in expanding our footprint in the European Datacenter market. You will support the execution of growth plans, ensuring Subzero's continued leadership in the Data Centre sector. The General Contractor Sales Manager is responsible for developing and growing strategic relationships with General Contractors (GCs) involved in the design, construction, and expansion of data center facilities. The role focuses on driving business growth by identifying opportunities, influencing specifications, supporting project execution, and positioning the company's products and services across the data center construction ecosystem.
This individual will work closely with major contractors, developers, consultants, and end users to secure project opportunities from concept through commissioning, ensuring the organization becomes a preferred partner for mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Management- Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and regional General Contractors operating within the data center sector.
- Establish executive-level and project-level contacts across GC organizations.
- Create and implement account plans for key contractor partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned contractor accounts.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge data center projects.
- Influence project specifications during planning and design phases.
- Generate sales pipeline through contractor engagement and project tracking.
- Support bid strategies and project pursuits to secure new opportunities.
Project Engagement
- Engage with contractors from pre-construction through project completion.
- Coordinate resources to support project requirements, technical reviews, and commercial proposals.
- Monitor upcoming data center developments and capital projects.
- Support contractor teams with product selection, implementation planning, and issue resolution.
Market Intelligence
- Maintain visibility of key data center market trends, construction activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Track contractor activity, project pipelines, and competitor involvement.
- Provide regular market feedback to leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, operations, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
- Coordinate technical expertise and resources for customer presentations and project support.
- Ensure successful transition from project award through execution and delivery.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Sales/Marketing or a relevant discipline.
- Solid professional experience in a sales role within the datacenter industry, preferably within the white space.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills. o Proven ability to confidently and positively present at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships and a commercial focus while managing multiple projects.
- English speaking is required / another European language an advantage
