Job Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the People Development department. This role manages various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, compensation and benefits administration, HR compliance, and maintaining employee records. The HR Generalist serves as a key point of contact for employees and management on HR-related matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and confidential.

  • Administer employee benefits, leave management, and attendance records.

  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals and performance improvement plans.

  • Handle employee relations issues and assist in conflict resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.

  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

  • Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics.

  • Support payroll by providing accurate employee data and resolving HR payroll-related queries.

  • Facilitate employee engagement and wellness initiatives.

  • Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding activities.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of performance management systems.

  • Experience in employee engagement initiatives.
