What you will do
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead and develop our procurement function as our global business continues to grow. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive value across direct and indirect spend.
Leading a team of procurement professionals, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
How you will do it
- Develop and deliver a global procurement strategy aligned with business objectives and new product introductions.
- Lead sourcing and category management activities across direct materials, components, subcontractors, and selected indirect spend.
- Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, supply continuity, and risk management initiatives.
- Lead procurement activities across key projects, from concept and supplier selection through to implementation and scale-up.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, leading complex commercial and contract negotiations.
- Develop and coach a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative and commercially focused culture.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and value improvement opportunities using a total cost of ownership approach.
- Represent procurement in cross-functional and leadership forums, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Leverage ERP and procurement systems to monitor spend, supplier performance, and business outcomes.
What we look for
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' procurement experience within a global manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Strong experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and project-based procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant spend and delivering business value.
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
Preferred
- CIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualification.
- Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of new product introduction (NPI) programmes and complex supply chains.
- Familiarity with stage-gate project delivery and governance models.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/procurement systems.
