The Role
Our new Team Leader will play a vital role in ensuring our Primal or Slicing department consistently delivers high-quality products while achieving production targets safely and efficiently. You'll lead your shift by motivating your team, maintaining exceptional standards, and creating a positive working environment where people can thrive.
Working closely with Production, Technical, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and HR, you'll help drive operational excellence through strong leadership, continuous improvement and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced people leader who enjoys developing others and delivering results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll also bring:
- A minimum Leaving Certificate (or equivalent), with a qualification in supervision, people management, science or a related discipline being advantageous.
- At least two years' experience leading a team within food manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluent English.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to maintaining exceptional food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
- A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Leading your team to achieve daily production plans and key performance targets.
- Setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and providing regular coaching and feedback.
- Championing the highest standards of food safety, product quality, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Promoting a culture where health and safety is a priority for everyone.
- Developing, mentoring and supporting colleagues to maximise capability and engagement.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the production area.
- Building strong working relationships with Quality, Technical, Engineering, Logistics and HR teams.
- Ensuring equipment and work areas are maintained to support safe and efficient production.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality and operational performance.
- Supporting the effective use and ongoing development of production systems.
