Description
We are seeking an experienced fund professional to join our Fund Operations team as a Senior Manager, based in Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will help to lead and shape the operational strategy for Carne Management Company/AIFM, ensuring robust execution of delegate oversight regulatory obligations and responsibilities at both strategic and operational levels.

Description
We are seeking an experienced fund professional to join our Fund Operations team as a Senior Manager, based in Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will help to lead and shape the operational strategy for Carne Management Company/AIFM, ensuring robust execution of delegate oversight regulatory obligations and responsibilities at both strategic and operational levels.
This position can be based out of our Wexford or Kilkenny offices.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Support the end-to-end oversight of fund operations activities, ensuring operational deliverables are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable regulatory obligations, client expectations, and Carne Group procedures.
- Oversee incident management processes, ensuring breaches, errors, and operational issues are promptly identified, logged, assessed, escalated, remediated, and closed in line with governance standards.
- Champion a client-focused service model by resolving complex queries, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and driving continuous improvement across day-to-day service delivery.
- Oversee private markets operational activities, including portfolio capital calls, distribution approvals, investor drawdowns, and related fund-level transactions.
- Manage and provide governance oversight of key fund events and operational processes, including share class dividend distributions, proxy voting, powers of attorney, swing pricing, anti-dilution levy processes, and in specie transactions.
- Supervise currency management activities and monitor market openings, closings, and fund calendars to support accurate and timely operational execution.
- Oversee liquidation-related activities, including monitoring receivables, payables, residual cash balances, account closures, and the return of residual cash to investors.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of fund operations processes, controls, reporting, and governance frameworks, supporting operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- 5-7 years experience in fund operations, fund administration, Middle Office, Depositary, ManCo/AIFM oversight, or a related financial services environment, with a strong understanding of operational governance, delegate oversight, and regulated fund structures.
- Proven experience overseeing operational processes across ManCo funds, including incident escalation, fund events, and service provider performance.
- Strong technical understanding of fund operations activities, capital calls, investor drawdowns, distributions, swing pricing, anti-dilution levy processes, in specie transactions, proxy voting, and liquidation-related activity.
- Demonstrated ability to assess operational risks, challenge fund administrators, investment managers, delegates, and internal stakeholders, and ensure issues are appropriately documented, escalated, remediated, and closed.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex operational data, identify exceptions, and support sound governance decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, delegates, service providers, internal teams, and senior management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment.
- Experience contributing to process improvement, control enhancement, reporting, and governance frameworks, with a focus on operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory obligations, reporting tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in leveraging automation, AI tools, and innovative technologies to enhance oversight, improve efficiency, and support informed decision-making.
