Key objectives:
  • To deliver a first-class HR support service to the hotels and Support Office ensuring compliance in all areas
  • To manage key projects ensuring that they are delivered on time in an efficient and effective manner with strong communication to stakeholders
  • To support the management teams with grievance, disciplinary and other people related matters where HR expertise is needed
  • To monitor KPI reporting to measure success of the HR team on all people matters and identify areas for improvement with plans to deliver changes in a reasonable time frame
  • To work on constantly improving employee engagement scores by understanding what matters to our people and developing ways to engage more effectively and reduce labour turnover.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support head office and the hotels with all people matters
  • Provide guidance, support and training on employee relations matters to GMs and HoDs
  • Support the efficient use of all HR Systems ensuring that managers are trained, the system works effectively and regular reporting is provided to demonstrate the benefits
  • Work with GM's to understand the people priorities for their hotels and support delivery
  • Manage the review cycle for all employees, supporting Managers with the paperwork and coaching them to have meaningful communications
  • Develop engagement activities across the hotels and office, utilising the Social Committees and OCCBTS to take action
  • Support recruitment in all areas of the business, minimising the use of agencies and targeting candidates where possible
  • KPI reporting which will identify trends and help to develop the HR plan moving forwards
  • Ensure that everything people related is GDPR compliant
  • Look for productivity savings and ways to be more efficient in everything that we do
  • Manage the annual engagement survey process gaining maximum input from the team and working with the supplier to ensure we receive quality information that helps define future HR plans

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
  • Enthusiastic and positive personality with ability to build trusting relationships with others.
  • Good influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal; A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages a definite asset.
  • Proven organizational skills, works well on their own, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of; Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and other related computer applications - Ability to develop reports and write correspondence.
  • Ability to work across all levels and functions of O'Callaghan Collection under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.
  • Willingness to travel if required occasionally.
