Fairview Veterinary Hospital offers an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for internal medicine and/or diagnostic imaging to develop their own clinical niche within a supportive, forward-thinking team. You'll join a collaborative team of three vets and two support colleagues who value open communication, mutual support and maintaining a positive working environment. Our practice culture encourages growth, innovation and flexibility.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a vet who is keen to expand their expertise in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging while continuing to enjoy a varied first-opinion caseload. You'll have the opportunity to develop advanced diagnostic capabilities, manage more complex medical cases and gradually build your own caseload, including potential referral work within the practice.
We're particularly interested in someone motivated to grow this area of the clinic, and we're committed to supporting your ambitions through further training, equipment investment and structured career development.
Working Pattern
* Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Combination of 8:00am-5:00pm and 10:00am-7:00pm shifts
* 1 in 3 Saturdays, 10:00am-2:00pm
* No out-of-hours commitments
* Flexible rota arrangements to support work-life balance
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
You're an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop your expertise in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging while continuing to provide excellent first-opinion care. You'll bring:
* Registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)
* Solid experience in first-opinion small animal practice
* A strong clinical foundation with an interest in internal medicine and/or diagnostic imaging
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning and professional development
