Editorial Strategist and Thought Leadership Lead

The Editorial Strategist and Thought Leadership Lead role is responsible for producing exceptional thought leadership and serving as the enterprise editorial strategist - delivering flagship content that positions Citi at the forefront of the industry to peers, clients and media.

What you'll do:
  • Develop flagship content that establishes organizational authority on critical industry topics, emerging trends, and strategic priorities
  • Identify and articulate emerging themes, market shifts, and strategic insights that position Citi as a forward-thinking industry leader
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across businesses to distill complex concepts into accessible, compelling narratives
  • Establish and enforce editorial standards across all product and business unit content to ensure consistency, quality, and brand alignment
  • Develop creative derivative assets from core content - repackaging flagship material into unique formats (e.g., infographics, executive briefs, social content, video scripts, data visualizations) purpose-built for marketing teams to activate across channels
  • Digital fluency with understanding of content performance metrics, SEO, and emerging platforms
  • Capacity to build consensus across diverse stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and how content drives commercial outcomes
  • Cross-functional partnership skills to work effectively across silos


Experience
  • Extensive experience in content creation, journalism, strategic communications, or related fields
  • Proven track record of creating thought leadership content that has shaped industry conversations and driven measurable business impact
  • Demonstrated editorial leadership managing content across multiple business units, products, or publications
  • Background in financial services, technology, consulting, or comparable complex industries preferred
