Logistics and Technical Support - Maternity Cover

Our client, an established food-sector business based in Naas, is seeking an organised and proactive individual to join its team in a Logistics and Technical Support role.

The successful candidate will help coordinate the movement of raw materials and finished goods while also providing administrative support to the Technical Manager. This position would suit someone with strong organisational, communication and computer skills who enjoys working in a busy, fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitoring inventory levels and liaising with internal teams to support stock availability and effective stock rotation

  • Scheduling and tracking shipments to ensure orders are delivered on time

  • Coordinating collections and deliveries with transport providers

  • Preparing and maintaining shipping documentation and logistics records

  • Processing and verifying transport invoices

  • Tracking sales orders and helping align product supply with customer demand

  • Supporting the management of sales contracts, including delivery timing, product availability and credit checks

  • Acting as a point of contact for suppliers, transport providers, customers and internal departments

  • Resolving logistics, supply chain and delivery issues

  • Providing administrative support to the Technical Manager

  • Updating stakeholders on stock availability, order progress and potential delivery delays

  • Liaising with the Department of Agriculture and other regulatory bodies regarding veterinary and export procedures

  • Supporting logistics and technical projects and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

  • Assisting other departments when required

Skills and experience

  • Previous logistics or supply chain experience would be an advantage but is not essential

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Strong data-entry and general administrative skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt within a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
