This is a contract opportunity for someone who has strong Business Analysis experience within General Insurance or Financial Services and can quickly establish themselves as a trusted partner to business and technology stakeholders.
You will be comfortable leading requirements-gathering workshops, translating business needs into clear technical requirements, and managing change initiatives from inception through to delivery. This role would suit a proactive and solutions-focused Business Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is confident working across business, technology, and third-party vendors.
The successful contractor will have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to navigate complex regulatory and governance environments while ensuring high-quality business outcomes and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate business requirement workshops with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements, securing stakeholder sign-off where required.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and testing teams.
- Work closely with third-party IT partners to ensure requirements are accurately understood and delivered.
- Support development and testing teams throughout the project lifecycle, providing clarification and business context as required.
- Collaborate with key business support functions including Compliance, Legal, Risk, Data Protection, and other governance teams.
- Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Take ownership of change requests and manage the end-to-end change lifecycle from initiation through to implementation.
- Support solution design activities, ensuring proposed solutions align with business objectives and customer outcomes.
- Produce and maintain high-quality business analysis documentation, including requirements, process maps, impact assessments, and change artefacts.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal governance, regulatory standards, and agreed delivery frameworks.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within General Insurance, Financial Services, or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrable experience delivering business change initiatives and transformation projects.
- Strong requirements gathering, analysis, process mapping, and solution design experience.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and supporting development teams through delivery.
- Knowledge of EDI systems and processes would be highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business, technology, governance functions, and third-party suppliers.
- Experience working with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, and operational teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making, prioritisation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments would be beneficial.
