The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Supervisor join ourFund Accounting teamas part of our financial services business inDublin.As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group's financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2008. Located in the citycentre, a commitment to service excellence and investment in our people quicklyestablishedDublin as a regional hub where our 200+ teammates deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our colleagues in legal services.

The Fund Accounting Supervisoris a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Client Work and Client Service

  • Assisting AVP's, VPs and SVPs with a portfolio of clients;
  • Preparing NAVs;
  • Under guidance of an AVP, VP or SVP, ensuring investor files are compliant with Maples Fund Services procedures and policies;
  • Under guidance of an AVP, VP or SVP, liaising with investment managers for issue resolution;
  • Under guidance of an AVP, VP or SVP, developing effective working relations with clients and responding promptly and professionally to client requests;
  • Assisting in more complex transactions;
  • Under the guidance of an AVP, VP or SVP, liaising with auditors during the audit planning stages and during the course of the annual financial statement audit.

Billing and Receivables

  • Under guidance of an AVP, VP or SVP, ensuring invoices are raised and sent to clientsin a timely manner and in accordance with administration agreements; and
  • Consistently monitoring andminimisingreceivables.

Training and Development

  • Demonstrating a commitment to acquiring new capabilities, constantly striving to improve performance;
  • Proactively seeking out and taking advantage of training and development opportunities; and
  • Developing a continuous learning plan in conjunction with an AVP, VP and SVP.

Risk Management

  • Acting in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including complying with policies and procedures; and
  • Reporting business issues to the AVPs, VPs and SVPs.

Business Development

  • Understanding and speaking knowledgably about the firm's services and their value; and
  • Developing personal networks inside and outside the firm for the benefit of the firm.

Business Management

  • Delivering engagements on time, and to the clients' full satisfaction;
  • Being aware of the sensitivity of information and treating it appropriately;
  • Demonstrating a high productivity level in work through time and cost control; and
  • Demonstrating the capability to think broadly, considering a wide range of internal and external factors when solving problems.

Other

  • Being responsible for training 1-2 junior members of staff;
  • Planning, implementation and supervision of the daily workflow of other junior team members;
  • Assisting AVPs, VPs and SVPs with compilation of management and risk reporting data for client portfolios; and
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required.

Requirements

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Degree Holder in Accounting with at least 4 -6 years' Private Equity related experience;
  • Proactive, self-starter and detail-oriented;
  • Knowledge of FIS Investran and/or Advent Geneva
