Supply Chain Executive
About Us
National Beauty Distribution (NBD) is Ireland's leading importer and wholesaler for the professional beauty and haircare industry, working with brands like ELEVEN Australia, Kevin Murphy, Color Wow, K18, Aveda and O Cosmedics, as well as our own house of brands including Bare by Vogue and Luna Professional Haircare.
The Role
We're looking for an organised Purchasing Supply Chain Executive to join our Shared Services team, with purchasing at the heart of the role. Purchasing is owned by our Head of Warehouse Operations Systems, and you'll work closely alongside them day to day, raising and tracking purchase orders, managing supplier lead times, and helping make sure stock is ordered on time. Alongside purchasing, you'll provide support across stock control, logistics and warehousing, working closely with the Stock Control Manager and Logistics Manager
What You'll Do
Support the Head of Warehouse Operations Systems with the purchasing process across our brands, raising and issuing purchase orders, confirming pricing and quantities, and keeping orders on track from confirmation to delivery.
Manage supplier lead times and delivery schedules, chasing confirmations and following up so stock lands when it's needed.
Build good working relationships with suppliers, acting as a day-to-day point of contact for order queries and delays.
Monitor incoming stock against purchase orders, flagging shortfalls, pricing discrepancies or quality issues as they arise.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date purchasing records.
Work closely with the wider team to monitor stock levels across all brands and divisions, flagging shortages or overstocks.
Help coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, working with couriers, freight forwarders and warehouse teams.
Support day to day warehousing operations, including goods-in checks, stock accuracy, and general housekeeping of storage and dispatch areas.
Work alongside our AutoStore robotic system, helping monitor bin allocation and pick accuracy, and flagging issues when they come up.
Support regular stock counts and reconciliations, helping investigate and resolve discrepancies between system and physical stock.
What You'll Bring
Previous purchasing experience, ideally within FMCG, distribution or a similar fast-moving environment.
Some exposure to supply chain, logistics, stock control or warehousing is a plus, though purchasing experience is the priority.
A naturally organised, detail-focused approach, you notice when something doesn't add up, and you chase it down until it does.
Good working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
Experience working with an ERP or purchasing/stock management system is a plus.
Good communication skills - you'll be liaising with suppliers, hauliers and colleagues across the business daily.

A team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves. This role blends desk-based coordination with time on the warehouse floor
