Permanent Part-Time Post (Term Time 40 weeks)
UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Consultant Psychiatrist working 2 days per week at the Student Health Department. Reporting to the Head of Student Health we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed psychiatrist to join our dedicated student health team of GPs, nurses, physiotherapists and administration staff. Reporting to the Head of Student Health Department, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver expert clinical care, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality psychiatric service for students of University College Cork. As well as having experience as a consultant psychiatrist, including in the area of diagnosing and treating people who have ADHD, the appointee will be expected to have a team orientated approach, committed to ongoing professional learning and a lead in engaging with the wider student welfare team to provide unified mental health care to students.

Appointment may be made on the HSE Consultant (Clinician) Type A Contract Salary Scale: €174,354 - €251,669 (Scale B) / €214,087 - €256,997 (Scale A) (pro-rata).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
