Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Teaching Fellow in Folklore and Ethnology within UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore.
The Subject of Irish Folklore at University College Dublin invites applications for a twelve-month Teaching Fellowship in Folklore and Ethnology. The fellowship provides an opportunity to teach across the undergraduate and MA programmes while pursuing your own research as a colleague within the Subject, with opportunities to engage with and contribute to the Subject's research seminars, symposia and national and international collaborations. It is well suited to an early-career scholar, including those completing a doctorate, and we welcome applications from folklorists and ethnologists working in any regional or disciplinary specialism within the field.
The Subject's research, teaching and fieldwork continue to build and draw on the National Folklore Collection, including the collections of the Irish Folklore Commission (1935-1970), inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
Fixed Salary: €49,500 Per Annum
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 07 August 2026.
