The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor plays a key role in maintaining the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards across major residential developments.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations align closely with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and general Irish safety legislation.
• Management Systems: Build, maintain, and audit integrated company management systems targeting ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards.
• Risk Documentation: Author and update formal Safety Statements, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS) for ongoing operations or construction sites.
• Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct recurring safety performance audits, flag non-conformances, track hazard mitigations, and manage on-site contractor risk.
• Training & Onboarding: Design and deliver internal compliance training, covering localized site inductions, manual handling, and periodic "Toolbox Talks".
• Incident Management: Direct immediate root-cause investigations following operational near-misses or accidents, followed by the generation of preventive statutory reports.

Essential Candidate Requirements

• Education: A minimum of a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 7 Degree or Diploma specifically in Occupational Health & Safety or an engineering-adjacent discipline.
• Certifications: Relevant technical certs such as a NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma are standard across competitive listings.
• Professional Affiliation: Active professional membership-or documented progression toward membership-within IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
• Sector Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) operating directly within local construction, pharmaceutical production, engineering, or industrial facilities management.
• Mobility: A valid, clean Irish/EU driving licence
