SUMMARY
Associate
Director - Relationship Management will be an integral part of the Waystone team and will play a pivotal role in proactively managing and supporting their clients and funds from a commercial and governance perspective as well as representing Waystone at external events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage client relationships, ensuring clients are satisfied with the quality of service delivered across all relevant Waystone group entities
- Act as the primary point of coordination and escalation for clients, maintaining strong engagement with Investment Managers, Fund Boards, and key service providers (Fund Administrators, Depositaries, Auditors, and Legal Advisors).
- Represent Waystone at Board meetings, delivering clear and professional reporting, ensuring all Waystone-related matters are appropriately addressed, and maintaining strong governance standards.
- Maintain ongoing oversight of assigned clients to ensure:
- Operational effectiveness and service quality
- Commercial viability and profitability of relationships
- Timely delivery of contractual and regulatory obligations
- Proactively identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities, leveraging knowledge of the full Waystone product suite to enhance client value and deepen relationships.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update formal account plans for each client, ensuring a clear understanding of client strategy, priorities, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure all relevant client data, interactions, opportunities, and relationship insights are accurately recorded and maintained in Salesforce, supporting transparency, pipeline management, and internal coordination.
- Promote effective collaboration across internal teams, ensuring a coordinated and responsive approach to client needs
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Designated Persons, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Onboarding and Product teams) to:
- Resolve issues efficiently
- Deliver consistent service standards
- Coordinate project and change initiatives
- Monitor and manage all relationship issues and risks, ensuring timely escalation where appropriate and driving resolution, while capturing lessons learned to improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and procedures and participate in implementation of improvements
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks (including AIFMD, UCITS, and MiFID) and ensure that client servicing is aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Lead/support projects relating to implementation of regulatory and business changes within the RM team, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective delivery.
- Act as a Director on client funds where requested
REQUIREMENTS
- Motivated with enhanced interpersonal skills and adept at building client relationships;
- Minimum 8 years' experience in an investment funds environment;
- Knowledge of regulations including AIFMD UCITS and MiFID (if applicable);
- Client facing background with presentation skills;
- Strong academic background including a Degree in Finance/Business/Economics or related field;
- Strong IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
