Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this post is to provide professional and managerial leadership on St. Annes Ward, encouraging staff to develop clinical expertise for the benefit of staff and users of the service. The post holder is accountable, responsible and has authority for delivering a quality service and ensuring patient safety. The job will involve rotation in order to manage ward to cover a 24/7 roster.

Eligibility criteria, qualifications and experience
- Be registered on the Children's Division and/or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Have at least 3 years post registration experience including experience within the area of acute children's nursing.
- Management Experience.
- Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
- Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
