Tax Manager - Financial Services Tax
About the Role
We are looking to hire a Manager to join our growing Financial Services Tax team at Grant Thornton. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients across the financial services sector, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
The successful candidate will manage client relationships, provide technical tax expertise on complex matters, lead project delivery, and support the continued growth and development of the Financial Services Tax practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of financial services clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and international tax advisory services.
- Provide technical and commercial advice on complex cross-border transactions, international tax matters and evolving tax legislation.
- Lead multiple client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Build strong client relationships, identify opportunities to expand existing engagements, and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while collaborating closely with colleagues across Tax, Advisory and Audit to deliver integrated client solutions.
Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified, with 4-5 years' post-qualification experience in a financial services tax environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish and international tax, with the ability to provide practical, commercial solutions to complex client issues.
- Experience advising clients within the financial services sector; Asset Management and/or Insurance experience is an advantage.
- Excellent project management, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong people management skills, commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
