The Opportunity
In this role you will:
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services across the construction industry
- Create and manage all aspects of the procurement process including requests for proposals, purchase orders, change orders and invoicing
- Conduct prequalification and shortlisting of suppliers through bid analysis and expert negotiation of pricing, making award recommendations as required
- Ensure all documentation is well organised, accessible and provide administrative support where required
- Benchmark the latest industry trends and practices to keep a fresh view on the competitive landscape
- Manage contract development, finalisation, and administration with rigorous attention to detail
- Conduct supplier capacity modelling, production planning and inventory management systems across the region
- Create weekly reports and dashboards to monitor overall progress and identify any risks in the supply chain
- Develop, implement, and manage supply chain strategies on a global scale
- Create cost estimates and planning schedules for long lead equipment
- Assist with the onboarding of on-site supplier teams and foster a positive supplier relationship through expert liaison with site and vendor teams
- Engage in supplier relationship management and monitor performance through KPIs
- Provide strategic procurement advice and direct responsibility for engagement with multiple client teams
- Manage procurement operations and performance across our project portfolio and drive innovation, continuous improvement and value creation
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and best practices that align with the company's strategic goals
- Implement technology solutions and tools to enhance visibility, tracking, and performance monitoring across the supply chain
- Participate in financial planning, forecasting, fee submissions and invoicing to enhance productivity and profitability
- Empower and motivate employees, promoting a high-performance culture and professional growth
- Develop talent acquisition and retention strategies to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have grown your experience over 8 years in a procurement and supply chain management role within a data centre or construction environment
- Have a Bachelor's degree or a professional qualification in a procurement or supply chain management related discipline
- Have previous experience with data centre OFCI equipment and RFPs
- Have an in-depth technical knowledge of power and cooling equipment
- Have an end-to-end knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations with international sourcing experience
- Are results driven and have sales experience with a proven track record
- Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
- Are enthusiastic about being part of a global team, and able to flex your hours to engage across regions and time zones
- Have excellent IT skills with a strong focus on data processing, management and analytics
- Have strong negotiation skills and a passion for reducing costs and a track record of success in this area
- Adapt to new processes with agility and enthusiasm
