Réalta Technologies are searching for a skilled DeltaV Automation Engineer to support a biotechnology client of ours on the design, implementation and optimisation of automation systems across their growing GMP facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting system start-up, commissioning, and ongoing manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, test, and deploy Emerson DeltaV control strategies to support manufacturing operations.
  • Support start-up, commissioning and qualification activities for new and existing process automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and provide hands-on support to operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain automation documentation, including functional specifications, configuration standards and test protocols.
  • Collaborate with process engineering, quality, and validation teams to ensure automation systems comply with GMP, GAMP 5 and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Participate in change control, deviation investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical input for automation upgrades, system expansions, and integration with MES, historians and other site systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Emerson DeltaV in a biotech/pharma or other highly regulated environment.
  • Start-up and commissioning experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of batch processing, S88 standards, and GMP automation best practices.
  • Experience writing and executing FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex automation concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
