About the Role
We are looking to hire a Semi Senior to join our growing Financial Services Tax team at Grant Thornton. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to develop their technical expertise while working with a diverse portfolio of financial services clients.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory engagements, working closely with Senior Consultants, Managers and Partners in a collaborative environment that offers excellent opportunities for learning and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns, computations and supporting documentation for a portfolio of financial services clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory engagements while developing a strong understanding of Irish tax legislation.
- Assist with tax research, technical queries and the identification of tax planning opportunities.
- Build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues by responding to day-to-day queries and delivering a high standard of client service.
- Actively participate in technical training and professional development to build tax knowledge and progress your career.
Skills & Experience
- AITI/CTA qualified or actively working towards a professional tax qualification.
- Experience in a tax practice environment, with exposure to tax compliance; financial services experience is an advantage.
- A good understanding of Irish tax legislation and a strong interest in developing technical tax expertise.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative team environment.
