UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 Bioeconomy Life Cycle Assessment, Biosystems and Food Engineering, Until 30th September 2029
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 2 - Bioeconomy Life Cycle Assessment within Biosystems and Food Engineering.
This project is funded by BiOrbic, Ireland's National Bioeconomy Research Centre. BiOrbic is a national collaboration of researchers, focused on the development of a sustainable, circular economy. Encompassing 100+ researchers from twelve institutions in Ireland, along with International collaborators, BiOrbic is focused on training and developing the next generation of Bioeconomy leaders. It is a national knowledge platform, with international reach and influence, bringing researchers, industry professionals, policymakers and communities together to solve societal challenges. BiOrbic is supporting Ireland to be a leader in the global bioeconomy.
PD2 Salary: €55,399 - €60,250 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 4th August 2026.

The PD2 post is intended for researchers that have completed PD1. As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
