Teaching Fellow in Popular Music and Music in Ireland, UCD School of Music, Fixed term 3 years, Part-time 0.6 FTE (Ideally starting 01 September 2026)

Applications are invited for a temporary part-time (0.6FTE) post of a Teaching Fellow in Popular Music and Music in Ireland within UCD School of Music.

The successful candidate will teach the modules Popular Music (MUS 10220) and Music in Ireland (MUS 10240), both of which run in both the autumn and spring trimesters. They will also coordinate the work of guest lecturers and tutors contributing to these modules. (The exact modules taught may vary in future years but will remain in these broad areas.) More broadly, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of teaching in these areas and will contribute to administration in the School and University.

We are open to candidates able to teach both popular music and music in Ireland and particularly welcome candidates with the ability to teach multiple topics and methods of study within these areas. We also especially welcome candidates with innovative ideas for the development and diversification of teaching and learning in these areas.

Fixed Salary: €49,500 Per Annum Pro Rata
