Role Profile
We are inviting applications from talented and motivated postdoctoral researchers with experience in multimodal cell imaging, including confocal fluorescence, Raman imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging, to contribute to a project focussed on development of novel probes of cellular inflammation. The role is part of a broader collaborative US-Ireland project on understanding how drug intervention impacts inflammatory markers in cells. The researcher will develop and implement screening workflows for inflammatory marker probe validation in live cells by Raman and Fluorescence imaging, including conducting toxicity/phototoxicity screens of potential probes They will carry out quantitative live-cell imaging and image analysis to study probe localisation and dynamics of therapeutic response to cellular markers of inflammation.
Prospective candidates must have demonstrable experience in live cell imaging, particularly confocal fluorescence and Raman imaging, image analysis and in cell culture. Experience in biochemical methods such as high-throughput assay/toxicity screening, bioconjugation, and electrophoresis would be an advantage.

Salary Scale:
IUA Postdoctoral Researcher Salary Scale (point 1 to point 4) - €47,273 - €51,176
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy
