What you will do

  • Lead Zurich Treasury Services, a function employing 30 people within Group Treasury and Capital Management that provides treasury services to companies across the Zurich Group.
  • Set the strategy and goals of Zurich Treasury Services, in alignment with the overall strategy of the Zurich Group and Group Treasury and Capital Management
  • Oversee the flawless execution of the services provided, which include derivative execution, cash management, FX management, transaction valuation, provision of accounting services and ownership of the Treasury sub-ledger, transactional data provision, maintenance and development of the Treasury Management System.
  • Identify and allow for industry and marketplace developments, including regulatory developments and ensuring a market-leading approach to the provision of the services.
  • Show a transformational mindset, including developing strategies to incorporate the use of artificial intelligence into functional delivery.
  • Manage the organizational structure, services and resources as well as key relationships and dependencies with other business functions and also with external service providers including banks.
  • Anticipate risks and suggest mitigation actions within the context of the Group Risk framework. Ensure that ongoing compliance with the Group's Risk Framework is maintained. Maintain a risk-aware culture and a work environment focused on error-free delivery.

What you bring

  • Master's degree in finance, Certificate in Treasury, CFA or other post-graduate finance qualification.
  • At least 10 years of treasury experience, ideally including leadership of a treasury function, preferably within an insurer or bank.
  • Leadership skills, evidenced through a track record of strategic and leadership roles.
  • Deep experience of transaction solutions, systems, process design and execution.
  • Proven track record in automation, systems upgrading and transformation in a highly automated transactional environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and sound solution orientation.
  • Corporate finance knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of insurance accounting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
