Payroll Specialist, 12 Month Fixed Term Employee

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to be responsible for handling all aspects of payroll processing across the entire organization, including Americas, EMEA, and APAC, in a fast-growing business. The Global Payroll Specialist ensures that payroll transactions are well documented, executed appropriately, and completed on time. This role also supports the development of cost-effective and efficient payroll processes, including integrating newly acquired entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time and accurate disbursement of all payroll transactions for Diligent's employees for multiple international payrolls, while ensuring HR and Payroll records remain in synch.
  • Work closely with Human Resources (HR) to facilitate and ensure accurate data entry of benefit, employee data, pay and other payroll changes into the payroll system.
  • Creating and notating payroll journal entries in the general ledger (GL).
  • Research and work with accounting to resolve payroll GL reconciliation exceptions to ensure proper recording of payroll transactions in the company's ERP system.
  • Review and audit timesheets and payroll reports, manage payroll cutoffs, and process payrolls timely and accurately.
  • Assist in the maintenance of country specific payroll guidelines and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all requests sent to the payroll department are resolved in a timely manner.

Required Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years of end-to-end payroll processing with global experience and management of thirdparty international payroll providers.
  • General Ledger experience and a strong grasp of core accounting principles.
  • Understanding of internal controls, rigorous attention to detail, and proven adherence to payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and effective issue resolution capabilities.
  • Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced global environment with willingness to put in extra time to meet goals.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication; familiarity with payroll tools, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office, and HRIS platforms
