The role

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll learn the fundamentals of recruitment and be supported to build the skills needed to source talent, develop relationships, and manage the recruitment lifecycle. This role suits someone motivated, coachable, and keen to grow in a performance-driven environment where development is recognised and rewarded.

Key responsibilities

  • Support 360 recruitment activity, combining candidate delivery with client development (winning and servicing business).

  • Build and maintain a candidate network through proactive sourcing, screening, interviewing and relationship management.

  • Develop client relationships and support business development, including lead generation, outreach/cold calling, arranging meetings, taking job briefs and supporting terms negotiations (with guidance from senior consultants).

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job briefing and shortlisting through interview coordination, offers and reference checks.

  • Maintain accurate records on the ATS/CRM, track activity, and contribute to team KPIs (e.g., calls/meetings, job flow, CV submissions, interviews and placements).
