About the role and what you'll do

Are you looking for a hands-on HR role where you can stay close to the business, support managers, and make a real impact on the employee experience? As our People Partner in Galway, you will be the main HR contact for managers and employees, working closely with the Global HR Manager while taking ownership of local HR delivery.

You will combine day-to-day operational support with broader people initiatives, helping make HR practical, reliable, and human.
  • Advise managers on performance, development, engagement, employee relations, and other day-to-day people matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases with fairness, confidence, discretion, and sound judgement.
  • Partner with hiring managers on end-to-end recruitment and create a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners.
  • Keep HR operations running effectively, including employee data, payroll inputs, documentation, and core people processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation, internal policies, and TOPPAN Security standards.
  • Support organisational change, HR projects, workforce initiatives, and continuous improvement.
  • Bring practical ideas, positive energy, and a hands-on mindset to help make the Galway site a great place to work.

About you

You enjoy working with people and being close to the business. You thrive in a varied HR role where you can support managers, solve people challenges, and contribute to a positive employee experience. You like taking ownership, building strong relationships, and making a real impact on the workplace.

-Experience and knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Strong employee relations and case management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, operational, or blue-collar environment.
  • Good knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience with HRIS tools, people analytics, workforce planning, change management, or HR projects.


Location, travel and eligibility
  • The role is based at our Galway site.
  • Occasional travel, including international travel, may be required.
  • You must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport and be legally eligible to work in the country where you are hired.
  • Compliance with TOPPAN Security policies and procedures relating to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems is part of the role.
