Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher for the research project "Key Interdependencies in the Transition to low-Carbon Energy Systems (KINETICS)" funded by Schmidt Sciences.
The post doctorate researcher will be based in University College Cork to work for a 3 year period on a collaborative project led by Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, and the Technical University of Berlin, which includes for partners from: University College Cork, Ireland; Tsinghua University, China; Vasudha Foundation, New Delhi, India; Resilient Transition, Princeton and San Francisco, USA; and Open Energy Transition, Bayreuth, Germany. The project which is entitled "Key Interdependencies in the Transition to low-Carbon Energy Systems (KINETICS)" is funded by Schmidt Sciences. The project will be aligned with the Rinn Energy Centre, hosted in the Sustainability Institute and led by the Circular Economy, Energy and Environmental Systems research group.
Achievement of the expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc is transferable between the Irish HEI's. This can be reflected in the starting pay of a PD researcher. Similarly, as the PD scheme is an intergenerational training scheme completion of PD1 or PD 2 levels in one HEI will normally render that researcher ineligible for appointment at a similar level in another Irish HEI Researcher Career Development Framework | Irish Universities Association

Appointment may be made on the IUA PD1 Salary Scale: €47, 273 - €53, 925 p.a.
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
